If you aren’t aware of Christians (your brothers and sisters in Christ) being murdered by the dozens, because you don’t feel threatened yet here in America, you better think about what will happen when they enter America…
Boko Haram, the Islamist extremist group in Nigeria, and other groups have killed 1,631 Christians in Nigeria in the first six months of 2014 – 91 percent of last year’s total number of Christians killed, according to in the country in all of last year, according to the human rights group Jubilee Campaign. When I was younger and in the US Navy, There were some guys on my ship who were considered “Salty”. These guys were in for almost 20 years, and been around the block when it came to being a sailor. We called them “old salts”. They would joke about the days of “Wooden ships and Iron men”. I had serious respect from them. They were mature and knew what they were doing. (more…)
This recent story about the satanists asking Oklahoma for permission to put their statue up may sicken you like it does me!
It may seem absurd – or given the moral state of the nation, appropriate — but the grounds committee for the Oklahoma State Capitol, the Preservation Commission, has been asked by The Satanic Temple, a group from New York, to place a privately funded statue of Satan, complete with pentagram and two fawning children at Lucifer’s knee, on the Capitol grounds near a monument of the Ten Commandments. American Christians are offended quickly, often and so easily. Is it because our “trials” are few and limited compared to the constant threat on the lives of our brothers and sisters in Christ, in most of the rest of the world?
Jesus said, Unless a man be “born again,” he cannot see the kingdom of God.” The Muslim religion is not going to “light,” EVER. They are NOT born again and do NOT hold Jesus as Messiah. And for this reason, many people following this “religion” have a deceitful spirit moving them.
After undergoing numerous surgeries in Israel, Pastor Umar Mulinde is improving and is very optimistic. He recently shared with VOM that his skin grafts are normalizing and becoming softer.
He is also thankful that after some struggles, his children have greatly improved in their studies. He hopes to return to them soon in Uganda.
Pastor Mulinde was attacked in 2011 just after completing a week-long revival at his church. He was on his way to a Christmas Eve party with his congregation and new believers when a man called out to him.
As Pastor Mulinde turned, a man poured acid onto his face while others poured more on his back. The attackers ran away shouting, “Allahu Akbar [God is greater].”
The acid burned about 30 percent of his face and blinded him in one eye. Pastor Mulinde requests prayer for another surgery scheduled for Feb. 3 to re-open his ear and revisit scars around his lips and nostrils.
Have you ever asked yourself, “Why would any human being hate a “faith” and love walk like those who love Jesus Christ?” It’s really simple to see, but never easy to accept…
Jesus said, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
Hebrews 10:36 says: For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and [carry away] [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.
Patience is a difficult task for most people and it’s not much different for a growing believer in Jesus Christ. We have a hard time disassociating the “fast food” mindset we know, from our Christian walk and obedience to God.
With think “fast” is good, but God thinks “patience” is good. Jesus taught the crowd one day this parable…
Luke 8:5 A sower went out to sow seed; and as he sowed, some fell along the traveled path and was trodden underfoot, and the birds of the air ate it up.
6 And some [seed] fell on the rock, and as soon as it sprouted, it withered away because it had no moisture.
7 And other [seed] fell in the midst of the thorns, and the thorns grew up with it and choked it [off].
8 And some seed fell into good soil, and grew up and yielded a crop a hundred times [as great]. As He said these things, He called out, He who has ears to hear, let him be listening and let him consider and understand by hearing!
9 And when His disciples asked Him the meaning of this parable,
10 He said to them, To you it has been given to [come progressively to] know (to recognize and understand more strongly and clearly) the mysteries and secrets of the kingdom of God, but for others they are in parables, so that, [though] looking, they may not see; and hearing, they may not comprehend. (And if we are His disciples today, we must receive the same instruction from Our Lord.)
11 Now the meaning of the parable is this: The seed is the Word of God.
12 Those along the traveled road are the people who have heard; then the devil comes and carries away the message out of their hearts, that they may not believe (acknowledge Me as their Savior and devote themselves to Me) and be saved [here and hereafter].
13 And those upon the rock [are the people] who, when they hear [the Word], receive and welcome it with joy; but these have no root. They believe for a while, and in time of trial and temptation fall away (withdraw and stand aloof).
14 And as for what fell among the thorns, these are [the people] who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked and suffocated with the anxieties and cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not ripen (come to maturity and perfection).
15 But as for that [seed] in the good soil, these are [the people] who, hearing the Word, hold it fast in a just (noble, virtuous) and worthy heart, and steadily bring forth fruit with patience. (The requirement here is that when they hear the Word, they do it! And because they do, they steadily bring forth fruit!)
16 No one after he has lighted a lamp covers it with a vessel or puts it under a [dining table] couch; but he puts it on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light.
17 For there is nothing hidden that shall not be disclosed, nor anything secret that shall not be known and come out into the open.
18 Be careful therefore how you listen. For to him who has [spiritual knowledge] will more be given; and from him who does not have [spiritual knowledge], even what he thinks and guesses and supposes that he has will be taken away. (Knowledge here is the “revelation” of God’s Word from the Holy Spirit living in you and your sincere desire to understand and FOLLOW what He reveals. The good soil is a worthy heart.
The person that is only “thinking, guessing and supposing he is doing the formula, will have that understanding taken away from him. Because he does NOT have spiritual knowledge, only a form of godliness, like Paul wrote to Timothy.
When you’re choked and suffocated with the anxieties and cares or riches and pleasures of life, your fruit can’t come to maturity.
But you say, I’m very sincere about wanting to grow and know the Lord’s will for my life…
Sincere is NOT the same as “submitted” to His Lordship through “OBEDIENCE.” Then you’ll produce fruit as you abide in Him. You will steadily produce more fruit.
If you were able to be honest with yourself, you know there are probably areas in your life that you may still be holding onto. If Jesus doesn’t have your WHOLE heart, He’s not being allowed to be Lord of your heart. Jesus said, If you love Me, you will obey Me.”
John 14:21 The person who has My commands and keeps them is the one who [really] loves Me; and whoever [really] loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I [too] will love him and will show (reveal, manifest) Myself to him. I will let Myself be clearly seen by him and make Myself real to him.

I thought of the more than 55,000,000 lives that have been taken in the U.S. since 1973, and I became sickened at the tragedy. Tragedy for the babies, their mothers, their fathers, families, and us. Who is our nation missing? What price is our society paying for the ultimate deceit of abortion?
40 years ago today, seven men on the Supreme Court decided in favor of a case presented to them from a 27 year-old, unknown, post-abortive lawyer, Sarah Weddington. That case was Roe v. Wade and, along with its companion Doe v. Bolton, it legalized abortion in all 9 months of pregnancy, for any reason, in the United States.
Miss Weddington’s generation got it wrong. In attempting to correct gender inequality in the workplace and in our society, they set into motion the ultimate act of discrimination – abortion. Instead of glorifying motherhood, they pitted the mother against her child, creating an endless cycle of selfishness, pain, and deceit.
We’ve seen the ultrasounds of our siblings, Googled “abortion” and seen the bloody images, and sat with a friend as she cried about her abortion.
So, what should be our goal? To bring up abortion in every conversation we can – in church, the grocery store, at school, and at the neighborhood party. To never forget about abortion, no matter how busy our lives may get or how sad or immobilized we become by this immense, overwhelming tragedy.
Friend, it’s time to rise up. Rise up off of your couch, out of your dorm room, or pew. Rise up and dedicate your life to something bigger than yourself.
It is the time for us to tell our stories to our friends and family about how abortion has hurt us.
It’s time to paint the vision by telling people what our nation will look like without abortion and how it’s possible.
It’s time to seek real justice with those young women and men facing unplanned, crisis pregnancies. It’s time to shine the light of truth, to expose Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry for what they really are.
It’s the time to stand up courageously for Life. Law is made for the lawless. Making lawless to murder the innocent is “lawless.”
I was looking at it and thought to myself….”Pretty car! Man, I wish I had that!”, as I typed a comment saying, “Looks Great Chris, Merry Christmas”
You have to admit, its a pretty car!
Why am I telling you this. Well, got me thinking about sin.
My bible tells me in Exodus 20:17
“Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s house,
thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife,
nor his manservant, nor his maidservant,
nor his ox, nor his ass,
nor any thing that is thy neighbor’s.”
We all sin. Every single one of us.
How do we know what sin is?
God has written on everyone’s heart a conscience. That little voice inside you that tells you the difference between right and wrong.
14 “For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another.”
Whether we ignore our accusing conscience or not is up to us. Some people get quite good at ignoring it, or the self accusing guilt that comes with it.
Some People will even say to justify peoples actions…That guy has no conscience…well he does, we all do.
Some people like to look at sins as BIG sins and small sins
They will start to compare sins, saying Killing is worse than not Honoring your mother and father
Or Wishing you had your neighbors Camero is not as bad as Stealing
or “Its only a white lie…its ok”
They will bring sin down to a manageable level.
Then they can say the famous last words. “Ill be ok, Im a good person deep down. Im going to heaven”
This is called Self Justification
Let me quote something I found that really nails this point:
“At the heart of all sin is a lie. The lie says to all of us in our sin, “The act you are now doing, the desire or attitude you are now feeling is not very bad because there are much worse things, not very bad because everyone else experiences the same things, not very bad because you can’t help it, not very bad because there is no God, or, if that won’t work, God knows you are but frail and weak and he will tolerate and pity your sin.” There are a thousand distortions of the truth which sin brings with it into the human heart, so that Jeremiah cries out, “The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately corrupt; who can understand it?” (17:9).”
Well, We are all sinners, I committed “coveting” just this morning, with my friends Camero
That sin is just as bad as killing someone in Gods eye
Jesus drove this point home in Mathew 5:21-22
21 “You have heard that our ancestors were told, ‘You must not murder. If you commit murder, you are subject to judgment.’
22 But I say, if you are even angry with someone, you are subject to judgment! If you call someone an idiot, you are in danger of being brought before the court. And if you curse someone, you are in danger of the fires of hell.”
Sin is Sin. Nothing subjective about it, and its wages are death.
Meaning, it will cause death in your life.
(Take that statement as deep as you want)
If you are reading this and feeling guilty about something….
Say “Hello” to your conscience for me!
However, let me start telling you the Good News about all of this
1. God has reconciled all sins: mine, yours, even that guy on death row!
2. God will Justify you by his Grace If you believe what Jesus did
3. Jesus handled the issue of sin for us in one fell swoop all we have to believe in him
4. Once you believe in what Jesus did and receive the Holy Spirit. God no longer sees your sin.
God Loves us so much that he did this for us. God is not at war with man or sin anymore.
When Jesus was born, Angels Announced:
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. (Luke 2:14)
Its all handled, God is not keeping track of your sins, He is not checking his list, or checking it twice. whether you been naughty or nice
The only thing God is looking at is whether you accept, and believe that Jesus handled this
I didn’t deserve it, Either do you.
If you haven’t accepted Jesus at his word….what are you waiting for?
God is waiting for you with open loving arms. He will meet you right where you are, no matter what you have done or havent done.
Once you do He will give you life and purpose and joy.
There are actually many more.
Moral laws, Social Laws, Food Laws, Purity Laws, Instructions on Feasts, Regulations on Sacrifices, and so on and so on.
(Read Leviticus for a while , you might not make it through them all!)
This Law was given to the Jews to show them that no-one is and no-one can be right with God
Because it was not keep-able, the yearly sacrifices were needed to atone for the sin committed for the year
This was required every year to handle the sins of the past years.
The ritual of the sin offering began with the offerer confessing unintentional sin while placing hands and pushing full weight over the head of the animal.
The animal was then killed and the blood was sprinkled and poured, OVER EVERYTHING.
The offerer transferred his sin to the beast and the blood covered it
God never changes, Why don’t we sacrifice animals anymore to atone for sin?
At the cross Jesus fulfilled the law of Moses
His last words on the cross were. “It is finished”
All sin, past and future, were transfer to Jesus and He became sin.
His blood covered all sin
Jesus in effect makes it look like, in God eye, that we have never broken any of the 10 commandments or the 600+ rules and regulations
We are seen by God as Holy and Blameless. We wear white robes in his presence!
Jesus resurrection 3 days later to atomic bomb sin once and for all!
So what now?
Jesus only has a few suggestions for us for living now:
- Love your neighbor as yourself
For the commandments say, “You must not commit adultery. You must not murder. You must not steal. You must not covet.” These—and other such commandments—are summed up in this one commandment: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
- Jesus has given us the Great Commission:
8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
9 After saying this, he was taken up into a cloud while they were watching, and they could no longer see him.
Love everyone, and spread his Good News
Thank you Jesus, you made everything much simpler now 🙂
When life gets hard:
Life threatening moments
Cancer and other diseases
Death of loved ones
Rock bottom from addictions
Even Atheist can be known to cry out to God
Because deep down inside every heart, God Signature is there.
Take for example the following study
It basically says that if you put children on a deserted island, that as they grow, they will develop naturally a belief in God
I’m not one myself to just believe any study that comes down the road, however it does make the question interesting
My Bible tells me in Romans 1:
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
“so that they are without excuse”
Powerful yet simple. Science has tried to explain the mysteries of the universe
They have tried to bring Gods creation down to mans level of thinking, and call themselves wise, while offering no explanation that is valid
Let me give you a simple example
Such a simple thing, yet it throws science on its head.
It starts off life born as a caterpillar. Has the DNA of a caterpillar. Has ony one function hardwired in its caterpillar brain.
as it grows, as everyone knows, it enters its chrysalis and begins to transform
As it is transforming, Its internals are dissolved, liquified…Actually it dies
It is then transformed with an entirely new DNA and entirely new functions in life.
Breaks free an is a scientifically new creature.
Can science explain how a beautiful butterfly , or any creature for that matter, change its DNA structure on its own?
This simple example shows that the more science knows, the more they do not have excuse as written in Romans 1
If creation was a Big Bang, or other theory, how is that Butterfly transformation explained.
Big Bang in the chrysalis?
Mans wisdom can not hold together the fabric of our lives. To view our world is to see God him self.
The question is not whether you see it, its whether you deny it or not
“so that they are without excuse”
Soften your heart, and transform into a new creature.
I am the new Kingdom Child Contributor, Erik Dattwyler. Id like to thank Steve for allowing me a spot to place some of my writings
I hope they are relevant to you and your life in some way.
Feel free to leave a comment.
I came to the point where I questioned a God who hated me because I was not good enough. It is an evil cycle of needing God’s help to stop sinning, but Him withholding it because you sin too much.
I only mentally agreed with the concept of Jesus, but went about trying to earn God’s favor with my behavior, or doing things for the church, or saying to myself “I am deep down a good person.”
I knew my spiritual problem had to have a spiritual solution! Standing there on the brink of giving up on God. He got this 100% Grace view of the Gospel to me.
Then……………………I discovered I had never been saved in the first place!
The proof is in the life change.
The proof is by the fruit the Holy Spirit produces in me.
The blackness was gone,
The want to sin is gone,
The NEED to sin is gone,
and now I laugh at all the things I used to do because I couldn’t stop doing them, even though , I wanted to stop doing them, but couldn’t stop doing them
I had people asking what had changed me!
There was a veil over my eyes
I could not see clearly
2 Corinthians 3:14
But the people’s minds were hardened, and to this day whenever the old covenant is being read (Preached), the same veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ (fulfilled the old covenant).
Now the veil was removed through the revelation from the Holy Spirit
1. That I was Completely FREE
- Free from needing or wanting to sin (And shockingly you wont miss it either)
- Free from performance anxiety (doing enough good for God, to pay for my salvation. I owed God back for what he did for me.)
- Free from church/religion rules (what to wear, what to give, how to help, when and where to attend, how to socially act)
2. That I was broken, am I still broken
- I was a mess, my life was a mess, and on my own power….I made it a mess
- I was not, and I still am not strong enough to fix my life
- That only with giving Jesus every decision in my life…..that God can fix my life…And to always give it to him, cause ill screw things up for sure (I have a track record to prove it)
3. That God’s Grace and Love is unfathomable to me
- He loved me, for the 30 years I sinned, I disobeyed, I did my own thing…HE waited patiently for me
- He loves me, even when I fall for temptation now…Like a father He picks me up and brushes me off, and encourages me
- He will love me for eternity…He has made me a heir, a family member, a son, promising me he will never take it from me. Allowing me to have 100% confidence.
- He sees me blameless and holy all the time, He answers my prayers, He protects me, He favors me, I am his special one.
If you were me….allow me to help you get Religion out of the way of your relationship with God
If the veil can be removed for a guy like me…I’m sure it can be for you as well
For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.
Written with Love,
